    Sunday 5 April 2009, the Koryo team met the challenge of the Taekwondo NSW Autumn state championships, held at the State Sports Centre Olympic Park. This time around the team included Tam, James, Leon and Quan lead by head instructor Benjamin Silaphet. We were also joined by recently appointed coach; Roy Violi.

    A special thank you goes out to Kim, Tho, Trang, Noc, Narloi, Emily, Leanne and Eddie for their support and help on the day.

    The Koryo family is very proud of their team, their results and their spirit. We had an enjoyable day, and are looking forward to the next challenge.

    GRADING AUG'08

    Koryo Martial Arts hosted its third grading since opening in June 2007. Our third grading saw some milestones for our new school, including our first Hapkido grading, our first red belt grading and out blue belt ranks have also swelled.

    STATE CHAMPIONSHIP APR'08

    Sunday 6 April was the Taekwondo NSW State Championships held at the States Sports Centre at Sydney Olympic Park. Long Tien Nguyen won his technical forms (Poomse) division and came runner up in his Sparring tournament.

    Long showed great form in his performance of Taeguk Il Jung and Taeguk E Jung in front of the Taekwondo NSW officials, and received praise from a number of participants, officials and coaches. Long also showed exceptional courage, a champions heart and the Taekwondo spirit in his first Taekwondo sparring competition.

    Congratulations Long for your outstanding achievement and for the courage to take on this challenge. We look forward to more great things from you in the not too distant future.

    GRADING MAR'08

    March 2008 saw the second grading for our school, with new talent and our original student showing the skills to Grand Master Sung Soo Lee.

    Some of our more talented students demonstrated their exception skills to skip to higher levels, including Long (from white to blue 1), Minh (from white to yellow 2) and Tho (also from white to yellow 2).

    Congratulations to all the students who have attained their next levels!

    GRADING OCT'07

    KFS Martial Arts hosts it's first grading, with 10 students grading for their level 1 Yellow belts and 1 student grading for her level 2 blue belt.
